P. Ploegman & Sons was founded in 1910 in Cicero, Illinois. In 1989, the company was purchased by the CP & J Corporation operating as Ploegman Moving & Storage. The new owners built on the excellent reputation the previous owners had established, expanded market share and in 1993 moved the business to a new, modern facility located in Elk Grove Village. In 2004 the company relocated to Itasca, Illinois.

Ploegman Moving and Storage is privately owned and operated. The owners combine their many years of experience in the industry to manage a growing relocation company in a highly competitive market.
